The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has stepped up the emission standards not only on cars and trucks but also on gas-powered lawn mowers and marine product. The new standards are set to take effect on 2010.
“EPA’s new small engine standards will allow Americans to cut air pollution as well as grass,” said EPA Administrator Stephen L. Johnson. “These standards help fight smog in our neighborhoods and waterways as we continue to improve the environmental landscape.”
Once the new standards are in full effect, it will reduce hydrocarbons by 600,000 tons, 130,000 tons of Nitrogen Oxides, 5,500 tons of particulate matter, and 1.5 million tons of carbon monoxide. All large parts of the 6 criteria pollutants we have talked about.
It will most likely require manufacturing companies to use catalytic converters, much like large SUV's. It is also estimated that 190 million gallons of gas will be saved each year.This regulation is the first national standards for boats powered by stern-drive or inboard engines and carbon monoxide standards for gasoline-powered engines used in recreational watercraft.
Because both industries are huge summertime activities, these standards can only help reduce and limit the amount of air pollution, especially because air pollution is worse in our region during the summer.

Our first project is to use frontier space technology in marine and underwater construction, underwater commuter connecting inland facility by using renewable energy from the sun, ocean, and space. Underwater world is absolutely stunning and one could never fully appreciate the beauty and wonder if man does not go down there. However, we cannot constantly rely on the air above to live under the sea. What do we do about it? The new invention of extracting air from water will definitely make this dream come true!
We're also working on a new project, the submersible watercraft. This particular type of aqua vehicle is still at design stage, but it is pretty unique! It can fly on water like hydrofoil recreational watercraft or personal underwater vehicle, which can also dive into water the same time.
